Equipment and Collection Section
The equipment and Collection Section was responsible for the manufacturing and maintenance of both Lotta and Civil Guard equipment. Lottas of the Equipment Section organized lotteries, evening entertainment, sewing evenings and sales. Collecting funds had an important role in the activities of Equipment Lottas. The gift parcels sent to "unknown soldiers" by Lottas brought joy to thousands of Finnish frontline soldiers.
Snowsuits too were sewed at the repair workshop.
The Equipment Section also took care of laundry. Clothes were mainly washed by hand. In 1940 Finnish Lottas received two laundry ambulances as donations from the State of Sweden.
