Medical Section
Lottas of the Medical Section belonged in the personnel of both war hospitals and field hospitals. They also helped in transferring wounded soldiers. The heaviest burden was laid on the shoulders of Lottas working in the Centers for the Evacuation of the Dead (CED)– their responsibility was to see to that the fallen were placed in coffins and sent home for family burials.
Besides people, there were also animals helping out soldiers on the front. Horses too needed their helpers, and so veterinary Lottas were trained to treat them.

In addition to treating wounded soldiers, the Medical Lottas fed them and wrote their letters.

There were Medical Lottas working in dispensaries and laboratories too.
